1. Ceiling Fan Blades

How to do it: slide an old pillowcase over each blade, pull it back, and the dust comes off inside the case rather than onto the floor.

2. Window Tracks

Grit, dead insects, and mineral residue collect in the channels. This is also the item most commonly cited in move-out inspections.

How to do it: vacuum the loose debris first, then a stiff brush and warm soapy water. Finish with a dry cloth wrapped around a butter knife for the corners.
